China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and Canada China Business Council (CCBC) are again collaborating on the Fourth Chinese Enterprises Outbound Investment Conference, April 27-28, 2010 in Beijing. This is a two-day CCPIT conference for Chinese firms interested in investing outside China, and CCBC helps to organize a half-day Invest in Canada seminar within it. Leveraging three successful years, this year’s program will attract ~800 attendees, with ~150 at the Canadian session. This event is supported by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Finance, General Administration of Customs, State Administration of Taxation, Development Research Center of State Council, and State Administration of Foreign Exchange.
The two-day program consists of plenary sessions, geographic investment sessions and sectoral seminars, plus a welcoming dinner at which sponsors can invite potential investors. The event is designed to assist Chinese enterprises to invest globally in accordance with China’s Go Global Strategy.
The half-day Invest in Canada seminar will focus on investment in Canada’s resource sector, as well as other investment opportunities. Twenty-minute speaking slots are available for companies looking to sponsor, and we seek speeches which target practical examples, case studies, and experience sharing by Chinese firms already invested in Canada. Canadian firms seeking investment are encouraged to attend, with opportunities to briefly present themselves to the audience and to have projects published and distributed to aid matchmaking. During the seminar, Canadian firms seeking investment (or their representative) will be briefly introduced to the audience, which will have written information on all these firms and can seek them out in the Canadian Matchmaking Corner following each session. If information is provided early enough, we will connect registrants to Chinese attendees prior to the event so that the interaction can be more meaningful.
The two-day program also includes sector-based seminars on international scientific and technological cooperation (LED industry), Chinese traditional medicine, and new energy automobile. Speaking slots in one of these sessions can be arranged for interested sponsors of the Canadian session (inquire for more detail).
